New Concord police have their first K-9. The furry officer, named Norco was sworn in by Mayor Brett Essex, last week at the New Concord Village Hall. Norco, a 1-year-old Belgium Malinois, from Russia who is trained in drug detection, excitedly chewed on a toy while Essex administered the oath of office and presented his badge to his handler Patrolman Jeff Traub.
