Genesis performs minimally-invasive procedures for heart defects

Genesis HealthCare System has begun performing a correction procedure that corrects a congenital heart defect by closing a hole in the heart that some patients have had since birth. This opening, known as a patent foramen ovale (PFO), occurs when a hole or open flap between the chambers of the heart does not close at birth.
