48 dogs rescued from 'deplorable conditions,' owner charged

A Sligo Road resident operating an animal rescue at her home has been charged with cruelty to animals after the Guernsey County dog warden and deputies removed 48 dogs from the facility on Friday. The 45-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in the Cambridge Municipal Court Tuesday to answer to the misdemeanor charge after being issued a summons in lieu of arrest.
